Being stuck at home doesn’t have to be boring. There’s so much we can do to make this time work in our favor. 🌐 Mask it up! Throw on a face mask while your folding some laundry or cleaning the shower. Just avoid any masks that have alcohol or fragrance as they are counter intuitive and will dry out your skin. 🌐 Toss any old makeup. Look for a little mark on the bottom which tells you the expiration date. 🌐 Contact me for a complementary video skin consultation! 🌐 clean your makeup brushes! @cinemasecretspro is the best. And you can order online! 🌐 Disinfect your makeup. Wipe down your palettes and scrape off the top layer of any powder or cream products. Spritz powder with 70% alcohol. 🌐 Paint your toes! 🌐 Body treatment: DIY Sugar scrub and lotion 💋

  • Don't let winter neglect your tootsies! Treat yourself to a relaxing pedicure so you can bust out those sandals on the first warm day!

  • Clean your makeup brushes... I recommend Cinema Secrets for a deep clean against germs and bacteria!

  • Fresh sheets! Changing your pillow case and bedding is always a nice way to feel refreshed!

  • Toss your old expired beauty products! Nothing more than 24 months! Check the little icon on the bottom of your bottle!

  • Exfoliating is the best way to slough off dead skin cells and reveal healthy skin!

  • Book a spray tan and feel like you've been kissed by the sun without any damage!

On occasion, brides will ask if they need a trial and I can’t stress how important having one is. I personally do not require them but I highly, highly, highly recommend them. I find it will provided you with a better sense of comfort and reduction of stress when the day finally arrives.

A trial gives us the opportunity to discuss more in depth your wedding vibe, color palette, your skin care routine, what colors you prefer for makeup, and how you envision yourself on the day off. This is also a great time to chat about whether you’re going to be wanting lashes, if you plan on doing a spray tan, or if you plan on having any facial treatments prior to your wedding.

On the day of your wedding, I prefer to schedule the bride last or second to last, that way your makeup is as fresh as possible. At this point in the timeline, chances are your photographer, videographers, flowers, will be arriving and possibly your day of coordinator or family will be popping into the bridal suite to check in. You’ll may get pulled away from your beauty services to help with these tasks.

If this does happen, we don't have to worry finding the which lip color you like best, if you want this lash, or that lash. You can just relax, laugh with your girlfriends, get pampered and enjoy your day!

When should I book my trial?

Some brides prefer to secure their date and then schedule their trial at a later time for a special event such as bridal shower or bachelorette party. Some brides, prefer to do their trial before securing their artist and that's ok too. You want to find the right artist who listens to you and understands your wishes. Usually 2 months ahead before wedding is best.

How do you prepare for your trial?

Please arrive with a fresh face, no makeup necessary. As artists, we are very visual. It's always helpful to provide pictures of looks you're interested in trying, pictures of your venue, your dress, your bridesmaids dresses, and flowers etc. Not everyone has the same interpretation of a smoky eye or natural makeup look.

Does everyone need a makeup trial?

Most frequently brides are the only ones to book trials. However, there are many times mom or sis would like one too. Any key members of the family wishing to book one is more than welcome to.

Who should I bring with me to my trial?

I personally love providing a 1-on-1 makeup trial. My biggest goal, is to make you feel amazing. I want to make sure YOU'RE happy and feeling confident with your look. We've all seen "Say Yes to the Dress" when the brides is getting different opinions suggested to her. It can be emotionally stressful and go against what she truly wants. Having more people there than necessary tends to cut into your appointment time resulting in less time for your makeup. So overall, its really suggested than no more than 1 other person at the time of your trial.

what does a trial include?

At your trial, you’ll have a conversation with your artist of what you’re looking for. It’s always helpful to bring inspirational pictures. Don't forget... pictures of your dress, bridesmaids dresses, venue, flowers etc. From there they will execute what you both discussed. Its extremely important to be honest with your artist. If you’re not happy with something, chances are it is super easy to tweak! Trust me, we won’t take it personally. Ultimately, we want YOU happy!

Post trial

Keep me posted! Want to change your lip color or want a more natural lash? No biggie! Those are the two the most commonly updates made.

Hopefully these points answered some of your biggest questions with booking your trial. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out!!
